A MAN was jailed for nine months and banned from driving for five years when he appeared in Newcastle Court on charges of break and enter, car theft and driving offences.
Rodney James Cox, 24, of Bridge St, Maitland, pleaded guilty to breaking into Lorn veterinary clinic and stealing $400, breaking into the office of Greening Australia in Maitland with intent to steal, stealing a motor car, driving while disqualified and disobeying a police direction to stop during last November.
Magistrate Michael Morahan said Cox had `a truly terrible record'.
`You have been sent to jail so many times I would have thought you'd be sick of the place by now,' he said.
Cox was disqualified from driving or holding a licence for five years.
